March 2017 - Update

3/16/2017

It has been a busy few months here at ByrneOut Productions. I know my last update hasn't been since October, so I'll give a brief rundown of all of the happenings since then, and plans for the future:

October 2016

Back at the end of October, we worked with none other than Sims of local hip-hop collective Doomtree, running behind-the-camera audio and tech for a livestream he set up for his fans who pre-ordered his newest album "More Than Ever". The album was released the following week, on November 4th, and if you haven't yet heard it, you need to. There are some major tracks on there, with beats created by some other local collaborators, and of course our good friend Lazerbeak. Our personal favorites are "Icarus", "Brutal Dance" and "OneHundred". We put a photo on our Instagram to commemorate the occasion, and had a blast through the entire night. Looking forward to more projects with these guys down the road.

November 2016

November was "Two Wanderers" month. After about a year of working with The Anatomy Of... on producing, recording & mixing their latest album "Two Wanderers", we finally released it on November 29th with a bang. We worked with them on setting up a release party at Schmidt Artist Lofts that night, with other guest performers Maya Elena, Nathan Smerage & Gary Rue. Needless to say, after stressing over set-up and some minor technical PA difficulties at the start, the night was a blast. People enjoyed themselves with snacks and beverages, and we were able to support some great independent musicians with album and merch sales. Here's a photo from The Anatomy Of...'s great set:

We continued working in-studio with several clients through the new year, one of whom was Mr. Phil Berbig. After about half of a year working together, and several studio sessions, we put a wrap on two of his songs "Starlight" and "The Way You Look At Me". Since then, we have been back into the studio for one session, recording a new song, with a couple more on the radar for the future. Looking forward to it!

February 2017

Last month, after a few weeks of working with Saint Paul Music Academy middle school teacher Ms. Kelly, we had the honor of being invited into her class alongside rapper GoodxJ to record a rap her class wrote, and teach them some basics of recording & mixing music. After 2 hours of recording, pizza and chocolate milk, we went into the studio to mix the song together as a finished song. Thanks to Ms. Kelly for the unique and incredible opportunity.

Also in Feburary, we became an official reviewer for new music gear website All Things Gear. So far we have reviewed one plugin, and have a few more microphone and plugin reviews lined up for the next few weeks. If you haven't yet, please visit www.allthingsgear.com for the latest news & reviews on some great technology and instruments in the industry.

The wait is FINALLY over. The Anatomy Of... is releasing their sophomore album "Two Wanderers on November 29th, and we want YOU to come and party with us!

"Two Wanderers" captures the essence of bandleader, and songwriter Daniel McConnell Smith, as he battled his way through addiction and found new life through sobriety. This album tells a story through and through, and we worked so hard with him to make this album happen, and make sure it turned out to be everything we wanted it to be!

The album will be released on November 29th, and there will be a release party on that evening as well at Schmidt Artist Lofts in Saint Paul, MN. The Anatomy Of... will be playing the headlining set, with artists from across the US opening up for him. This will really be a special night, and we want to make sure you are there with us. There will be snacks + drinks served.

Tickets will be $10 in advance, $18 in advance bundled with a CD, and $12 at the door!

Reserve your tickets early HERE!
Get more info, and RSVP HERE!

I can't wait to see you all there, and I know you will enjoy this album just as much as we have thoroughly enjoyed making it.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the brand new design and launch of ByrneOutProductions.com! We're really excited to say that we are moving services from Tumblr to Weebly, giving us a lot more flexibility and ease of use. We hope you like the new design, and feel free to give a shout-out if you do!

These past few months have been fairly busy in the world of BOP, and I'd like to give you a brief catching up. In recent months we have added new clients and projects to the roster. Most notably Kobe The Rapper, who, like me is originally from Chicago, but setting up camp in the Twin Cities to get his start in the infamous MN hip-hop/rap scene. So far, we have had two sessions together back in September to record and mix a few songs for his next mixtape which is being done slowly but surely.

The other big project we have been hard at work on is for Phil Berbig. He has been performing his songs throughout Minneapolis and Saint Paul for years now, and decided it was time to put out an EP with a full band of instruments behind him! We are getting to the very end of the recording phase right now, and starting to think about how we want to approach the mixing of the record in the coming months, but like everything, it takes time to make something truly great!

I hope you all will join me in giving these two a very warm welcome to the family, and we can't wait to finish these projects, and possibly pursue more in their musical futures. As always, I will be posting any updates with their projects to keep everyone in the loop!

Until next time!
